April 28, 2012 [ Randy + Levith - Engagement Session ]

Looking at the weather report the day before our engagement session with Randy and Levith, it looked like we were going to have a rainy photo shoot. The cool thing about this couple is they were down for whatever, rain or shine. It ended up being a little overcast, which makes for some nice even portrait lighting. After taking a few photos at some cool local spots, we switched gears and went on a picnic to finish up the session.

March 15, 2012 [ Jordan - Portrait Session ]

“Senior portrait sessions are like mini fashion shoots” is what I told Jordan when we started the session. Jordan did an awesome job at posing and playing the part of Fashion Model for our session. We spent some time downtown and finished up our day at the local colleges. I wanted to have a good variety of different scenes for the shoot; some urban backdrops mixed with cool architecture, with a little nature thrown in. Here are some of the shots from our fun time together!

March 8, 2012 [ Engagement Party - Pierre Garden, Glendale ]

Francine and Vrej celebrated their recent engagement at the Pierre Garden in Glendale, CA. This engagement dinner was very unique in that it was filled with Armenian traditions. Traditionally, the bride and her family gather at the party first, then the groom and his side of the family arrive bearing gifts to get the party started. The bride is tucked away but then meets the groom on the dance floor. The two families then join together for dancing, followed by dinner, and a unique presentation of gifts. Shortly after, there is a toast accompanied by the eating of special desserts. It was a fun-filled evening, one I’m sure they will never forget!

February 28, 2012 [ Ian + Rea - Engagement Session ]

Ian and Rea are the first couple we’ve photographed that traveled thousands of miles to beautiful Southern California for their engagement shoot! Well, sort of. Yes, they did make the trip from the east but the South Bay has become a second home with family ties. We were flattered that they enjoy our work so much that they chose us as opposed to a local photographer back east. Coming back to Los Angeles to visit with family was the perfect opportunity to capture their engagement photos on an absolutely beautiful Saturday in Manhattan Beach. It would have been easy to spend hours and hours with them, they’re a wonderful and sincere young couple that genuinely enjoys every moment together. Here are a few of the photos from the shoot:

February 16, 2012 [ Ramon's 80th Birthday - The Cannery ]

Family and friends of Ramon Moreno gathered together at The Cannery in Newport Beach, California to celebrate his 80th birthday. It was a nice day by the beach, and a great time capturing photos at a beautiful place, with great people, for such a special occasion. If you are ever in the area, you have to stop by this place and give their gigantic rib-eye steak or sea bass a try, amazing!

It was a surprise birthday party. Ramon was under the impression that he was going to have a dinner with just a few people. Little did he know, upstairs was a room filled with his closest family and friends, some he hadn’t seen in a very long time. Surprise!

August 13, 2010 [ Kylee Maris ]

Photographing 3-year old Kylee Maris was not only a blast, it was a workout! She was so happy and full of energy, she ran around almost the whole time! We had fun trying to keep up with her. Kylee’s mom provided 3 of the cutest little outfits for the photo shoot. We also thought it would be fun to incorporate balloons into some of the shots, which worked out really well with one of the outfits. Below are some of the images from the day:

Recently we had the chance to photograph our friends, the wonderful Ichiriu Family. We had the privilege of photographing Stephan & Kim’s Wedding in 2008 and we still get several compliments on their images. Little Harmony was born only a few days before Pastor Stephan married Jennifer and I a year later in 2009. This was our first chance to shoot Harmony & her parents. Here are some of the photos:
